Tractor overturns on German railway, halting trains for hours
A vineyard tractor overturned onto the Koblenz–Trier railway line near Pommern, causing a three-hour closure. The 59-year-old driver suffered minor injuries. Recovery operations were carried out with extra caution due to nearby power lines.
A Deutsche Bahn emergency manager supervised the recovery effort. The driver, a 59-year-old local, lost control of the tractor, leading to the incident. Despite the minor injuries, he was responsive and able to assist in the recovery process. The tractor was successfully removed from the tracks after three hours, allowing train services to resume.
The incident serves as a reminder of the potential hazards around railway lines. Deutsche Bahn and local authorities are cooperating to prevent future incidents and ensure safety.
