Tragic Fire in Tilak Nagar Claims Life, Injures Family
A tragic fire incident occurred in Tilak Nagar, west Delhi, on Monday morning. A 52-year-old man, Sunil Kumar Ginotra, lost his life in the blaze at a godown. The cause of the fire is still under investigation, with two possible scenarios emerging.
Ginotra was found dead at the scene, having succumbed to severe burn injuries. He was alone at the time of the incident. The explosion caused by the fire collapsed three walls of a room, injuring a nearby family. The couple and their children were taken to RML Hospital for treatment and are reported to be conscious.
The cause of the fire is suspected to be either a gas leak from a cylinder left on or a short circuit in the godown. Local police and fire brigade teams swiftly controlled the fire, and the body was taken to DDU hospital for post-mortem examination. No foul play is suspected at this stage, and further investigation is underway.
The incident has left the local community shocked. The place of the incident belongs to the cousin of the deceased. Meanwhile, in a separate incident, a family of five was injured in north Delhi's Kishan Ganj area after a cooking gas cylinder exploded. Authorities urge caution with gas cylinders and proper maintenance of electrical systems to prevent such tragedies.
