Tree-felling accident leaves young worker critically injured in Germany
A 22-year-old man was seriously injured in a tree-felling accident near Steinau an der Straße. The incident happened while he and a colleague were working along State Road 3196. A heavy branch struck him despite wearing protective equipment.
The accident took place during the removal of a beech tree. As the workers cut it down, a large branch broke free and hit the young man. He suffered severe head injuries, prompting an emergency response.
A rescue helicopter airlifted him to hospital for urgent treatment. Authorities have since launched an investigation into the cause.
