Tropicana Atlantic City Unveils $Multimillion Renovation to Boost Market Share
Tropicana Atlantic City is revamping its offerings with a multimillion-dollar renovation of the West Tower, set to reopen as the Solana Tower in January 2026. This comes as the casino floor's winnings dipped 1.8% year-over-year to $153 million through September 2025.
Caesars Entertainment is leading the renovation, aiming to transform all 598 guestrooms and suites into modern, inviting spaces. The design draws inspiration from the Palm Walk at Tropicana, blending Atlantic City charm with contemporary touches. This move is a response to less-than-ideal reviews, with guests expressing concerns about cleanliness and outdated furniture.
The casino resort, which boasts over 2,300 hotel rooms and suites across five towers, offers a wide range of non-gaming attractions. These include four pools, a spa, a fitness center, over two dozen restaurants, and an IMAX Theater. The gaming floor features 1,600 slot machines, 100 table games, and a Caesars Sportsbook. Despite these amenities, Tropicana's market share in Atlantic City's in-person gaming market stands at less than 8% in 2025.
The renovation of the West Tower into the Solana Tower began in May 2025 and is expected to enhance Tropicana's offerings, potentially attracting more guests and boosting its market share in the stock market today. The casino floor's recent performance, while down slightly, still generated $153 million through September 2025, indicating its ongoing appeal.
