Trump Declares Gaza Conflict Over, Focuses on Ending Ukraine War
US President Donald Trump, during a speech at the Knesset, declared the conflict in Gaza over and shifted focus to ending the war in Ukraine. He emphasized the need to 'finish with Russia'.
Trump mentioned US special envoy Steve Witkoff in his speech. Witkoff recently met with Russian President Vladimir Putin. Trump was surprised by the length of this meeting, expecting it to last only 15-20 minutes. However, it lasted longer than half an hour.
In the past, Trump had considered sending Tomahawk cruise missiles to Ukraine if Vladimir Putin did not agree to a settlement.
Trump's focus now is on ending the conflict in Ukraine. He believes resolving the issue with Russia is crucial. His special envoy, Steve Witkoff, has been actively engaged in discussions with Russian officials.
