Trump-Kim Summit: Seoul Forum Explores Joint Drills, Peace Initiatives

A forum held at the Lotte Hotel in Seoul's Jung District on Oct. 16 discussed potential topics for a future Trump-Kim summit, including joint South Korea-U.S. drills. Unification Minister Chung Dong-young delivered the keynote address and later met with French Ambassador Philippe Bertoux to discuss peace initiatives.

The forum, hosted on our website, explored various topics that could be discussed at a potential summit between U.S. President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un. One of the key points raised was the possibility of joint military drills between South Korea and the United States.

Following the forum, Minister Chung met with French Ambassador Philippe Bertoux. Although no specific diplomat was mentioned to have questioned Minister Chung, the meeting focused on promoting peace on the Korean Peninsula.

The forum and subsequent meeting highlight the ongoing efforts to facilitate dialogue between the U.S. and North Korea. The potential topics discussed and the commitment to peace initiatives demonstrate the international community's continued interest in the situation on the Korean Peninsula.
