Trump Returns from Asia, Hosts White House Halloween Celebration
Following President Trump's return from a week-long visit to Asia, the White House hosted its annual Halloween celebration for the children of U.S. presidential administration staff. The event, held on the Sunday after his return, saw President Trump and First Lady Melania Trump greet guests and hand out candy.
The International Fresh Produce Association provided the decorations for the event, including dozens of bright orange pumpkins that adorned the entrance. Among these was a unique jewelry pumpkin, donated by jeweler Jacob & Co., which added a touch of glamour to the traditional celebration.
During his Asia trip, President Trump held talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping on trade and tariff issues. Upon his return, he and the First Lady welcomed families, posed for photos, and signed autographs, making the event a joyous occasion for all attendees. Unlike many guests, the President and First Lady did not wear costumes, choosing instead to greet visitors in their formal attire.
All the pumpkins used in the decorations will be donated to the DC Central Kitchen charity for redistribution, ensuring that the festive spirit extends beyond the White House grounds. The event marked a delightful return to routine for the Trumps after their week-long international trip.
