Trump's Approval Ratings Dip as Americans Express Dissatisfaction with Economy and Gaza Handling

President Donald Trump's approval ratings have taken a dip, with Americans expressing dissatisfaction with his handling of key issues, including inflation, the economy, and the war in Gaza.

A recent CNBC poll revealed that 62% of Americans disapprove of Trump's handling of inflation and the cost of living, with only 34% approving. Americans' economic optimism is low, with only 31% expecting their wages to rise and 32% anticipating an economic improvement in the coming year. Trump's approval rating on the economy has reached a second-term low, with 52% disapproving and 44% approving.

The president's overall approval split is now worse than at any point in his second term, according to an AP-NORC poll. Only 37% of Americans approve of his job performance, while 61% disapprove. Trump's handling of the Gaza issue also remains unpopular, with Americans disapproving 50%-41%.

Despite claiming credit for the Gaza ceasefire deal last week, Trump's approval rating on the issue improved only slightly, from 37% in September to 47%. However, 49% still disapprove. The tenuousness of the ceasefire deal has come into focus, with Vice President JD Vance leading a delegation to Israel as the deal hangs in the balance.

With Americans expressing growing dissatisfaction with his handling of crucial issues, President Trump faces a challenge in regaining public support. As the economy and international conflicts continue to evolve, the president's approval ratings will likely remain a key indicator of his political standing.
