TU Braunschweig Launches Permanent 'Solar System School'

TU Braunschweig, in collaboration with the Max Planck Institute for Solar System Research and the University of Göttingen, has launched the 'Solar System School', a permanent graduate program. Meanwhile, the university continues to host various events and initiatives, including a summer school in Cameroon, a central welcome event for students, and a staff assembly.

The 'Solar System School' offers a joint graduate program with around 200 students vying for spots annually. It is a permanent collaboration between the Max Planck Institute for Solar System Research, the University of Göttingen, and TU Braunschweig.

TU Braunschweig has recently held a two-week summer school in Douala, Cameroon, focusing on modern mathematical tools in mechanics. The event was organized by five researchers from the university.

The university has also announced that the next staff assembly will take place on October 9 in Lecture Hall SN 19.1 (Old Building). Employees can submit additional agenda suggestions via email. The assembly will provide updates on parking management and mobile work.

TU Braunschweig ranked 9th in Germany for secured third-party funding per professor in 2023, with an average of €588,800. The university continues to host events such as the central welcome event for first-year students on October 20 at Eintracht Stadium, followed by an info fair and Welcome Week for international students. Additionally, registration is open for the Children's University themed 'Recycling' starting on October 25 for children aged 8 to 12.

The 64th German Plant Protection Conference will be held at TU Braunschweig from October 7 to 10, focusing on phytomedicine and plant protection.

TU Braunschweig's initiatives, including the 'Solar System School' and various events, reflect its commitment to education, research, and community engagement. With its strong funding and ranking, the university continues to provide opportunities for students and researchers alike.
