An international symposium titled The Philosophy of the Great Steppe and Legal Culture took place in Turkestan this week. The event, organized by Kazakhstan’s Constitutional Court and the Khoja Ahmed Yasawi International Kazakh-Turkish University, brought together over 300 participants from Central Asia and Turkey to discuss legal traditions and cultural heritage.

The symposium opened with remarks from Deputy Prime Minister Aida Balayeva, who addressed the attendees. Turkestan’s Regional Governor, Nurolkhan Kusheroev, highlighted the city’s unique status and the importance of the discussions on legal culture.

The two-day event in Turkestan focused on legal philosophy and regional cooperation. Delegates agreed on the need for ongoing dialogue in this area. Future editions may expand participation beyond Central Asia and Turkey.
