Tutto Piccolo partners with Talaman to accelerate global expansion

Through the company Ordama Bambini, Talaman has struck a deal with the Mataix family for the "commercial exploitation of the Tutto Piccolo brand," under terms resembling a licensing agreement. The scope of the partnership—covering design, production, and distribution—remains to be finalized.

Tutto Piccolo is one of Spain's most prominent children's fashion brands, though like much of the sector, it has faced challenges in recent years from rising competition, price pressures, and declining birth rates.

Founded in Alcoy (Alicante) in 1982 by Desiderio Mataix and Mercedes Molto, the company is now led by the second generation of the founding family, including Mercedes Mataix, Rafael Mataix, and Borja Mataix.

Tutto Piccolo remains under the control of the Mataix family, while Talaman is solely managed by Luis Raurich.

According to the latest figures from Tutto Piccolo, the company's revenue was expected to exceed €10 million in 2024, with over half of its business coming from international markets. The brand has expanded into China, the United States, and various Latin American countries through local partners. In Spain, it operates three standalone stores and concessions within El Corte Inglés department stores.

Under the Tutto Piccolo brand, the company offers clothing for newborns, babies, and children up to age 12. Until recently, it also held the children's license for Agatha Ruiz de la Prada, which has now been transferred to another firm.

With this move, Talaman aims to scale up through strategic partnerships to boost profitability. The company manages several brands, including Yatsi (baby clothing), Canada House (acquired in 2020, specializing in children's wear for ages 3 to 16), Tobogan (sleepwear for children and teens), and Diassi (sleepwear for men and women).

Headquartered in La Roca del Vallès (Barcelona), Talaman was established in 1985 and has grown into a key player in Spain's children's fashion market, focusing on multi-brand retail rather than its own stores. The company—handling design, production, and distribution—operates in over ten countries with more than 1,200 clients. Luis Raurich serves as its sole administrator.
