Twelve Families Advance to It Runs in the Family Grand Finale in Moscow
Twelve families from across the Far Eastern Federal District have secured their place in the final of the It Runs in the Family contest. The competition, designed to celebrate and strengthen family bonds, will culminate in a major event in Moscow on 8 July 2026.
Among the finalists are the Sherbakovs from Vladivostok, who entered the contest on a whim but now count their journey to the semifinals as a treasured memory.
The contest challenges families to work together through intellectual, athletic, and creative tasks. This year’s semifinal theme, Being a Family, tested cooperation and unity in various activities.
The Sherbakovs initially joined without much preparation but soon found the experience rewarding. They valued the time spent together and the shared challenges, which brought them closer. Their trip to Vladivostok for the semifinals now stands out as one of their most cherished family moments. At stake are 60 top prizes, each worth 5 million rubles. These certificates aim to help families improve their living conditions, adding a practical incentive to the competition’s focus on togetherness. The final round will gather the twelve qualifying families in Moscow next summer. There, they will compete for the chance to win one of the life-changing prizes while celebrating the bonds that unite them.
The It Runs in the Family contest has already created lasting memories for participants like the Sherbakovs. With the final set for July 2026, the winning families will receive significant support to enhance their homes. The event continues to highlight the importance of teamwork and shared experiences within families.
