Pedestrian hit and killed by car - Two Killed in Cologne Traffic Collision on Gronauer Straße
A fatal traffic accident occurred in Cologne-Mülheim on Saturday evening. Two people died after a collision on Gronauer Straße at around 5:30 p.m. Police have since launched an investigation into the incident.
The crash involved a car and a pedestrian. The 72-year-old pedestrian was killed at the scene. The driver of the vehicle, a 26-year-old man from Cologne, also died in the accident.
The car’s driver, initially reported as a 34-year-old, remained uninjured. Authorities confirmed the victim behind the wheel was instead the 26-year-old. The incident occurred on December 26, 2025, along Gronauer Straße. Police have not yet determined the cause of the collision. Investigations are ongoing to clarify the exact circumstances.
