Two Lessee of Forest Land in Zabaykalsky Krai Added to the Register of Unreliable
Two forest tenants in Russia’s Transbaikal region have been added to an official register of unscrupulous lessees. Ivan Petrov and Olga Kuznetsova now face restrictions after failing to meet their rental obligations. The move blocks them from future auctions or timber deals for two years.
The decision was made in December 2025 by regional authorities. Petrov and Kuznetsova held lease agreements for forest plots in Khilok and Ingoda districts. Both lost their contracts after repeatedly missing rent payments.
Inclusion in the register carries immediate consequences. The two are now barred from bidding on new leases or purchasing timber through state tenders. Their names will remain on the list until December 2027, when the entries expire automatically.
The termination of their agreements follows a pattern of non-payment. With their names on the register, Petrov and Kuznetsova cannot secure new forest leases for the next two years. The restriction applies to all state-run auctions and timber transactions during this period.
