Two men face trial for robbing pensioner and stealing high-value tools
Two men are currently on trial in Kulebaki for a series of crimes involving the robbery of a pensioner and the theft of power tools. The trial has revealed details of their planning and actions.
The defendants, who remain unnamed, planned the pensioner's robbery after one of them spotted the elderly man putting money in his shirt pocket at a store. They targeted him and stole 18,100 rubles before fleeing the scene in their vehicle.
The first defendant was later convicted and sentenced to three years and nine months in a high-security penal colony. He was also ordered to compensate for the stolen power tools, valued at over 44,000 rubles, which he had taken during a nighttime break-in at a workshop. The second defendant received a lighter sentence, a three-year suspended sentence with a two-year probation period.
The trial has brought to light the defendants' actions and the consequences they now face. The pensioner's robbery and the theft of power tools have resulted in significant sentences for the two men.
