Two More Arrested in Aaron Parr's Alleged Murder-for-Hire Plot

Two more suspects have been arrested in connection with the murder of Aaron Parr in Murrieta. The victim's body was discovered at The Arbors at California Oaks apartment complex on Jackson Avenue. Police believe the killing was a planned murder-for-hire scheme involving multiple individuals.

Aaron Parr was found dead on January 13, 2026, at his apartment in the 24000 block of Jackson Avenue. His ex-girlfriend, Ignacia Perkins, and her acquaintance, James Petri, were the first to be arrested on January 29, 2026, for their alleged roles in the crime.

On March 20, 2026, Jerry Wheeler and Kenneth Maxwell were taken into custody in Riverside County, California. Wheeler was located in Brookhaven, Georgia, while Maxwell was arrested in Midfield, Alabama. Local and federal agencies assisted in their capture. Investigators linked Wheeler and Maxwell to the murder through digital evidence. Cell phone data placed them at the crime scene on March 15, 2026. Surveillance footage also showed their vehicle near the apartment complex. Text messages recovered from seized phones suggested coordination in the attack. All four suspects now face charges of murder, murder for financial or other consideration, and criminal conspiracy to commit murder.

The arrests follow a detailed investigation by the Murrieta Police Department. Evidence from cell phones, surveillance recordings, and text messages tied Wheeler and Maxwell to the crime. The case remains under active investigation as authorities prepare for legal proceedings.
