Two teenage girls attacked in Berlin hotel during school trip
A violent assault in Berlin’s Friedrichshain district left two teenage girls injured on a school trip. The attack took place at a hotel near Stralauer Platz just before 3 p.m. Police have now transferred the case to a specialised unit for deeper investigation. The incident began when an unknown man targeted the two 15-year-old girls inside the hotel. He chased them from the lobby up to their room before attacking from behind. One victim suffered a deep head laceration and required hospital treatment. The other sustained minor abrasions and was treated as an outpatient. The assailant fled after one of the girls broke free and raised the alarm. Emergency services arrived shortly after the attack was reported at around 2:50 p.m. Authorities have since handed the investigation to a dedicated team within Police Directorate 5 (City). The case remains under active investigation by Berlin police. Both victims are receiving medical care, with one still hospitalised. No arrests have been made, and the attacker’s identity is unknown.
