Two Teens Held in Violent Neustrelitz Assault After Years of Crime
Two teenagers, aged 18 and 19, are now in pretrial detention after a violent assault in Neustrelitz. The attack, which took place in late February, targeted an 18-year-old victim. Authorities had been tracking the pair due to their lengthy criminal records in the area.
The suspects allegedly carried out the assault before fleeing the scene. Witness accounts and police investigations later identified them as the main culprits. Their past offences—including multiple robberies and assaults—had already made them well-known to local law enforcement.
Prosecutors and investigators pushed for arrest warrants, citing the severity of the latest attack and the duo's history of violence. The court approved the requests, noting that their prior criminal behaviour played a key role in the decision. Reports suggest the pair had been terrorising Neustrelitz for some time, with frequent incidents linked to their names. While exact numbers of their previous crimes remain unclear, records show they were primary suspects in numerous cases. Their repeated involvement in robberies and assaults had made them a persistent threat to public safety.
Both suspects now await further legal proceedings while held in custody. The arrest warrants ensure they remain detained as investigations into their latest attack continue. Authorities have not ruled out additional charges based on their prior offences.
