Two Attacks on Police Officers in Mölln - Two violent attacks on police in Mölln leave officer injured over chaotic weekend
Two separate attacks on law enforcement officers took place in Mölln over the weekend. The incidents involved a heavily drunk woman on Saturday evening and a violent confrontation with a male suspect early Sunday morning. Both suspects were taken into custody following the assaults.
The first incident occurred on Saturday night when a 45-year-old woman was arrested for assaulting officers. Her blood alcohol level was recorded at 2.45 per mille, well above the legal limit.
Hours later, at around 5:15 a.m. on Sunday, a 48-year-old man attacked a police officer responding to a noise complaint. The officer sustained injuries before colleagues used pepper spray to subdue the suspect. Prosecutors ordered a blood test to check for alcohol and drugs in his system. The man was later transferred to a detention facility in Lübeck. Authorities have not released the names of either suspect in connection with the attacks.
Both cases remain under investigation by local law enforcement. The injured officer is receiving medical attention, while the two suspects face potential charges. The incidents highlight a troubled weekend for law enforcement in Mölln.
