Two West Virginia Guardsmen Shot Near White House in Deadly Attack
Two West Virginia National Guard soldiers were shot near the White House on November 26, 2025. The incident occurred close to the Farragut West metro station, leaving one soldier dead and another in critical condition. Both state and federal officials have since confirmed the details of the attack.
The shooting took place in Washington, D.C., with reports placing the scene near the Farragut West metro station. Governor Patrick Morrisey and President Donald Trump later verified that a 20-year-old female soldier had died from her injuries, while a 24-year-old male soldier remained in critical condition.
The 20-year-old female soldier has been confirmed as the sole fatality in the attack. Her 24-year-old colleague remains hospitalised in a critical state. Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
