Tyumen Oblast Hosts Forum on Urban Planning and Future Cities
Tyumen Oblast is hosting the regional sessions of the 3rd All-Russian Municipal Forum Small Homeland – The Strength of Russia on November 20 and 21. The event brings together around 350 participants, including officials from local and federal governments, as well as business leaders. This year’s focus is on urban planning and architecture, highlighting Tyumen’s reputation in the field.
The forum’s theme, Urban Planning and Architecture: Shaping the Future, reflects Tyumen Oblast’s leadership in thoughtful city development. A key example is Tobolsk’s master plan, often cited as a model of strategic urban design. Alongside discussions, the event features visionary lectures, master classes, and a workshop on best municipal practices.
The forum in Tyumen Oblast aims to strengthen collaboration between regions and share innovative approaches to urban development. The outcomes will contribute to the broader discussions at the national forum in 2026. Organisers expect the event to inspire new projects and policies across Russia’s municipalities.
