U.S. and Armenia Strengthen Ties in Energy, AI, and Regional Trade Talks
U.S. Deputy Secretary of State for Political Affairs Allison Hooker arrived in Armenia on Monday as part of a week-long regional visit. She met with Armenia’s Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan in Yerevan to discuss cooperation and regional stability. The trip, running from 15 to 21 November, will also take her to Azerbaijan next.
During the meeting, Mirzoyan and Hooker explored ways to boost ties in energy, infrastructure, and artificial intelligence. Investment promotion was another key topic on the agenda. Both officials also addressed the proposed 'Trump route', a regional transport and trade corridor.
The talks in Yerevan highlighted mutual commitments to expanding bilateral relations. Energy, technology, and infrastructure projects remain central to future collaboration. Official updates on Hooker’s next stops are expected from the U.S. State Department in the coming days.
