UK Alumni Gala in Dhaka celebrates education and cultural bonds with Bangladesh
The British Council hosted the Alumni UK Gala Night in Dhaka on Tuesday, bringing together around 300 UK alumni. The event celebrated their achievements and highlighted the strong ties between the UK and Bangladesh in education and culture.
Held at Le Meridien, the gala was attended by senior Bangladesh government officials, UK university representatives, and leaders from business, academia, and the arts. British High Commissioner Sarah Cooke opened the evening by praising the alumni network’s contributions across various sectors.
The gala night recognised the leadership and impact of UK alumni in Bangladesh’s development. It also reinforced ongoing efforts to expand educational and cultural exchanges. The British Council and High Commission continue to foster these connections for future growth.
