Ukraine and Azerbaijan Honor Student Innovators in Diplomacy Contest

A student essay contest titled 'Startup Diplomacy: Ukraine and Azerbaijan in Building Innovation Partnership' has concluded with an awards ceremony at the Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute (KPI). The event, organised under the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Ukraine, recognised outstanding essays on diplomacy, technology, and innovation in international cooperation.

The contest drew participants from various academic fields, with winners announced across three categories.

The competition focused on how diplomacy, technology, and innovation shape national development and partnerships between nations. Students submitted essays exploring these themes, with judges evaluating their insights and originality.

Hanna Tkachenko, a student from the Faculty of Informatics and Computer Engineering, secured first place. Ivan Pasko from the Institute of Special Communications and Information Protection followed in second. Mariia Miniailova, representing the Faculty of Sociology and Law, took third place. Other finalists included Kornii Belov, Dariia Khalilova, Anna Pankova, Artemii Bohachev, Ramiz Dzhabralidze, and Matvii Osadchuk. Their contributions were acknowledged during the ceremony. Seymur Gurban oglu Mardaliyev, Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Ukraine, attended the event to congratulate the participants. He presented the awards and highlighted the importance of fostering academic and diplomatic ties between the two countries.

The ceremony marked the end of the essay contest, celebrating student achievements in analysing innovation and diplomacy. Winners received recognition for their work, reinforcing academic collaboration between Ukraine and Azerbaijan. The event also underscored the role of youth engagement in strengthening international partnerships.
