Ukraine’s fierce stand in Pokrovsk: Can Europe’s peace plan shift the war’s tide?

This Sunday, 'Ukraine Studio' on ETV will welcome two notable guests to discuss the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. Lieutenant Colonel Mattias Puusepp will provide insights into the latest developments on the frontline in Pokrovsk, while Eerik-Niiles Kross, a member of the Riigikogu’s Foreign Affairs Committee, will analyze Western allies' political efforts and Moscow's responses.

In Pokrovsk, defenders have been putting up fierce resistance against Russian Federation units for over 21 months. The city remains a key strategic location, with Russian forces attempting to seize it. However, Ukrainians are refusing to retreat from the encirclement, demonstrating their determination to hold onto the city.

Meanwhile, Europe is working on developing its own peace plan for Ukraine. While details remain scarce, the effort indicates a growing desire among European nations to play a more active role in resolving the conflict. This comes as Western allies continue their political efforts, which Eerik-Niiles Kross will analyze during the show.

Join 'Ukraine Studio' this Sunday at 6:45 PM on ETV to hear from Lieutenant Colonel Mattias Puusepp and Eerik-Niiles Kross. Their insights will provide valuable perspectives on the current state of the conflict and the international response to it.
