Umno Reschedules 2025 General Assembly to January to Support Sabah Election
The United Malays National Organisation (Umno) has rescheduled its 2025 General Assembly. Initially planned for November 26 to 29, it has been moved to January 14 to 17, 2025. The postponement is to avoid a clash with the 17th Sabah State Election, which will occur from November 15 to 29, 2025.
Umno secretary-general Datuk Dr Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki announced the change. The decision aims to allow Umno leaders, such as Bung Moktar Radin and Shahelmey Yahya, to fully focus on supporting Barisan Nasional in the Sabah state election. The election is crucial for the coalition, and the party wants its leaders to dedicate their energy and efforts to this event.
The 2025 Umno General Assembly will now take place from January 14 to 17, 2025. The postponement is a strategic move to ensure Umno leaders can fully support Barisan Nasional in the upcoming Sabah state election.
