Dubai South Launches New Multi-User Logistics Facilities

Dubai South, a strategic development located in the heart of the UAE, has recently unveiled a new set of multi-user logistics facilities within its Logistics District. This development is part of Dubai South's ongoing efforts to establish itself as a leading logistics hub, aligning with its long-term vision to create a logistics-centric ecosystem that encourages innovation, sustainability, and business growth.

The new facilities, covering approximately 215,278 sq. ft., offer flexible, combinable units available in two sizes: 2,152 sq. ft. and 3,767 sq. ft. These spaces are designed to enhance operational efficiency and meet the evolving requirements of companies in the logistics, e-commerce, and trade sectors.

Strategically positioned in the freight forwarding zone, the facilities provide direct access to Al Maktoum International Airport, Jebel Ali Port, and the UAE's national road network. This strategic location offers significant benefits, enabling streamlined transportation and reduced lead times. The facilities are also situated along a bonded logistics corridor, ensuring secure premises for international operations.

The modern units are temperature-controlled and air-conditioned, ensuring optimal conditions for products and services. They also feature ground-level access for easy logistics handling and are built with state-of-the-art infrastructure, keeping sustainability in mind.

The facilities cater to a diverse client base, including small and medium enterprises (SMEs), logistics providers, e-commerce companies, and traders. The spaces have scalable configurations that can adapt to various business models, making them suitable for companies looking to scale and optimise their logistics footprint in the region.

Mohsen Ahmad, CEO of the Logistics District at Dubai South, stated, "The launch of these facilities reflects Dubai South's commitment to empowering businesses with innovative, flexible, and sustainable solutions that drive growth and operational efficiency, supporting evolving regional and global market needs."

The new facilities are part of a larger logistics ecosystem comprising multiple zones like the Contract Logistics Zone and the e-commerce free zone EZDubai. This integrated system offers a multimodal logistics platform that integrates air, sea, rail (future Etihad Rail), and road transport, providing unmatched connectivity.

The benefits of these facilities include enhanced operational efficiency and growth through innovative and flexible space configurations. They also provide strong support for SMEs with tailored solutions and a business-friendly environment. Access to this integrated logistics platform significantly reduces lead times and expedites freight handling processes, benefiting regional and global market demands.

Moreover, the facilities contribute to a more sustainable and resilient supply chain through environmentally conscious building design. The development is scheduled for completion and handover in Q1 2026.

This initiative underscores Dubai's commitment to fostering a thriving logistics sector, reinforcing Dubai's role as a leading hub for global trade and logistics. The launch of these facilities is expected to attract more businesses to Dubai South, further bolstering its position as a leading logistics hub in the region.
