Upbeat Berlin: Tallest Office Tower in Moabit Rises, Set to Transform Europacity
A new office building, 'Upbeat Berlin', is rising in Berlin-Moabit. Standing at 85 meters, it's one of the tallest in the area, with 17 of its planned 19 floors already complete. The project, commissioned by a consortium of firms, is set to add a vibrant touch to the 'Europacity' quarter.
The building, designed by Kleihues + Kleihues, consists of three connected parts. Its large glass facade lets in plenty of natural light, and two floors will boast rooftop terraces. CA Immo is developing the project in collaboration with Deutsche Kreditbank (DKB), which will move its new campus there by the end of 2025.
Construction began in September 2021 and is expected to take about four and a half years. Once complete, 'Upbeat Berlin' will offer around 35,000 square meters of rental space and a two-story underground garage with 140 parking spaces, including provisions for electric vehicles and people with disabilities, as well as ample bicycle parking. Access will be via pedestrian and cyclist entrances on Heidestraße and Perleberger Straße, and a car and taxi driveway on the rear side.
The 'Upbeat Berlin' project is poised to become a highlight of the 'Europacity' quarter, known for its predominantly sober architecture. With its distinctive design and ample amenities, it promises to be a significant addition to the city's office landscape.
