Urmas Syrumaa's Unconventional Campaign Falters Amidst Party Confusion
Urmas Syrumaa, a candidate for the Haabersti city assembly, has reflected on his election campaign. Despite his efforts, he fell short of securing a seat, receiving 1,269 votes. Syrumaa believes his alliance with the victorious Reform Party may have caused confusion, impacting his personal image.
Syrumaa's campaign was notable for its unconventional tactics. He hired taxis adorned with his portraits to traverse Tallinn's streets, aiming to bolster his public image. However, he lamented that this strategy may have backfired, with voters confusing his image with that of the Reform Party. Despite his alliance with the party, Syrumaa financed his campaign entirely with his own funds, unlike many other party candidates.
Post-election, Syrumaa has turned his focus back to his construction projects. He is now involved in work on the Talsinki quarter, demonstrating his commitment to the city's development.
Urmas Syrumaa's election campaign, while innovative, may have been hindered by image confusion with his allied party. Despite this, he remains dedicated to Haabersti's progress, now redirecting his efforts to construction projects like the Talsinki quarter.
