USPS to Release Colorado Statehood Stamp on Jan. 24, 2026
The United States Postal Service (USPS) is set to release a special stamp commemorating the 150th anniversary of Colorado's statehood. The stamp will be issued on Jan. 24, 2026, in Denver, the state's capital.
Colorado, the 38th state in the U.S., will celebrate its sesquicentennial in 2026. It joined the union in 1876, a century after America's independence. The stamp, designed by Derry Noyes, an art director for USPS, showcases the state's natural beauty. It features a photograph of Jagged Mountain in the Weminuche Wilderness area of the San Juan National Forest, taken by the late nature photographer John Fielder. The stamp is a tribute to Colorado's rich history and stunning landscapes.
The Colorado Statehood stamp will be a fitting tribute to the state's 150th anniversary. It will be available for purchase at post offices and online starting Jan. 24, 2026.
