Ust-Kamenogorsk Unveils Aliya Moldagulova Mural on Republic Day
A new mural honouring Aliya Moldagulova has been unveiled in Ust-Kamenogorsk. The artwork is the seventh to grace the city's walls this year, featuring diverse notable figures and themes. The mural, located on the facade of a residential building at 88 Kaisenov Street, was officially unveiled on October 25. This date held special significance as it marked both Republic Day and Moldagulova's birthday. The idea for the mural was born during a meeting between City Akim Almat Akyshov and young activists. The city's creative and engaged youth took the initiative to create the mural, with support from the local akimat. The artwork was painted by the talented artist Saule Dyusengalieva. The mural of Aliya Moldagulova joins six others in Ust-Kamenogorsk this year, adding to the city's vibrant street art scene. It serves as a reminder of Moldagulova's contributions and the city's commitment to honouring notable figures.
