Uzbek man caught with fake driver’s license during A1 motorway check
A 37-year-old man from Uzbekistan was stopped on the A1 motorway near Stuhr after presenting a fake drivers license. The incident took place during a routine vehicle check at the Biegener Hellen Nord rest stop on Thursday evening. Authorities quickly uncovered further irregularities.
The Bundespolizeiinspektion Frankfurt (Oder) conducted the check at around 12:40 a.m. When officers examined the man’s documents, they discovered his drivers license was forged. A subsequent inspection of his passport revealed he was residing in Germany illegally.
The 37-year-old faces multiple charges, including illegal residence and document forgery. His passport remains in police custody while immigration officials handle his case. The investigation continues under the supervision of the Bundespolizeiinspektion Frankfurt (Oder).
