Vandals Target Electrical Infrastructure in Ober- and Niederoderwitz Attack

Vandals have sprayed graffiti across electrical infrastructure in the Ober- and Niederoderwitz area. The attack targeted several switchboxes and an IBC Bank substation, leaving damage over eight square metres. Authorities are now investigating the incident as criminal property damage.

The graffiti was discovered on 24 November 2024, when federal police identified the defaced electrical supply near me. Unknown perpetrators had covered the surfaces of multiple electrical control units and a key Deutsche Bank substation. Officers recorded the extent of the vandalism before opening a formal inquiry.

The incident has prompted a criminal justice investigation into the vandalism. Deutsche Bank and local authorities will assess any operational risks caused by the graffiti. Repairs and further security measures may follow once the investigation concludes.
