Court Rejects Legal Aid in Veltins Inheritance Dispute - Veltins heir faces costly setback in €30M inheritance battle
Carl Clemens Veltins, the youngest brother in the Veltins inheritance dispute, has faced another legal hurdle. The Higher Regional Court of Hamm (OLG) has rejected his application for legal aid, requiring him to personally cover appeal costs if he proceeds within the next two weeks.
The Arnsberg Regional Court previously estimated the value of the disputed estate at €30 million. Veltins had sought a fair share of his mother's inheritance and compensation for her leadership of the company. His lawyer, Dr. Michael Fuchs, has been representing him in the ongoing dispute.
The OLG's decision echoes the lower court's assessment, deeming Veltins' appeal prospects unsuccessful. This is another setback for Veltins, who has been embroiled in a long-standing legal battle over the Veltins fortune.
Carl Clemens Veltins must now decide whether to proceed with his appeal, bearing the costs himself. The OLG's decision aligns with the lower court's assessment, further complicating Veltins' pursuit of his inheritance claims.
