Veteran Officer Peter Reuters Takes Charge of Kamp-Lintfort’s West District Police
Peter Reuters, a seasoned police officer, has taken over as the new head of the district service west at the police station in Kamp-Lintfort. The 51-year-old, who also serves as the deputy of the police station's head, succeeded Andreas Hoffmann, who retired in late May 2025.
Reuters brings a wealth of experience to his new role. He began his police career in 1996 and has held various positions, including duty group leader and head of the deployment troop north. In January 2022, he took over the leadership of the department for press and public relations.
Before his appointment, Reuters served as the duty group leader of the police station west in Camp-Lintfort from 2011 to 2021. He joined the circular police authority Wesel in 2008 and later moved to Kamp-Lintfort. In 2021, he took over the function of the Leitenden Polizeikommissar West at the police station in Kamp-Lintfort.
Reuters, who is married with three children and resides in Rheinberg-Budberg, enjoys spending his free time traveling with a caravan, reading, and walking with his family dog.
Peter Reuters was officially introduced as the new head of the district service west on September 2, 2025. He expressed his enthusiasm for the role, emphasizing the importance of community contact and the opportunity to shape things in his new position.
