VHS Organizes Brussels Trip to European Parliament on April 14
The local adult education centre (VHS) has arranged a day trip to the European Parliament in Brussels. Scheduled for Tuesday, April 14, the excursion will include meetings with officials and a tour of the city's historic sites. Participants must book their place in advance to join the visit.
The trip begins early, with the bus leaving at 7:00 AM and returning at 7:00 PM. Each participant will pay €25 to cover costs.
During the visit, attendees will meet a Member of the European Parliament. The current 2024-2029 term includes 720 MEPs elected in 2024, though specific policy priorities for most working groups remain unclear. After the discussion, a guided tour of Brussels' Old Town will follow. Registration is compulsory, and spaces are limited. Those interested must sign up before the deadline to secure their spot on the trip.
The day will offer a chance to engage with EU politics and explore Brussels' landmarks. With a strict departure and return schedule, participants should plan accordingly. The €25 fee covers transport and activities for the full-day excursion.
