Vibhav Kant Upadhyay named India’s new Boston Global Forum representative to shape AI’s ethical future
Vibhav Kant Upadhyay, a prominent development leader known for his statesmanship and macro-vision, has been named the India representative of the Boston Global Forum (BGF). The appointment was welcomed by former Massachusetts Governor Michael Dukakis, who praised Upadhyay's record of leadership and innovation.
Upadhyay, born in Agra, India, has post-graduate degrees from the University of Allahabad and the University of Tokyo. He is fluent in Japanese, Hindi, and English. His leadership will strengthen BGF's collaboration with India and reinforce their shared mission of building a more peaceful, democratic, and ethical world in the Age of AI.
As BGF's Representative in India, Upadhyay will advance initiatives such as AIWS Government 24/7, the Boston Finance Accord, AIWS Digital Assets, the BGF-AIWS Family, and the Shinzo Abe Initiative. He has also founded and chaired several organizations, including Brainfeed India, Indian Education Network, Alternative Development Organisation in Oslo, Norway, India-Japan Foundation in Tokyo, Japan, and India Center Foundation in New Delhi. Through his work at the India Center Foundation, Upadhyay has advanced initiatives connecting India with the Indo-Pacific and the global community.
Upadhyay's appointment as BGF's Representative in India is expected to further strengthen the ties between the two nations. His experience and leadership will be crucial in advancing the shared mission of building a more peaceful, democratic, and ethical world in the Age of AI.
