Vice-Governor Alexander Rudenko Visited a Children's Home in Timashevsky District
Deputy Governor Alexander Rudenko recently visited the Medvedovsky Children’s Support Center to review its facilities and celebrate the upcoming New Year with the children. The center, led by director Elena Viktorovna Petrova, is widely regarded as one of the best in the region for its family-like environment and comprehensive care programs.
During his visit, Rudenko observed the living conditions firsthand and engaged with the 34 children currently staying there. Of these, 11 reside permanently at the center, while the rest receive temporary support. The children marked the occasion by performing a concert and presenting handmade gifts to the deputy governor.
The Medvedovsky center focuses on creating an atmosphere close to a real home. Its well-rounded development program includes eight extracurricular clubs designed to support the children’s growth. Over the past nine months, the institution has assisted over 3,000 children, with 2,341 successfully reunited with their families. Rudenko’s visit highlighted the center’s ongoing efforts to provide stability and opportunities for vulnerable children in the region.
The Medvedovsky Children’s Support Center continues to play a key role in child welfare, offering both temporary and long-term care. Its success in reuniting families and fostering a nurturing environment has solidified its reputation as a model institution. The center’s work remains vital as it supports hundreds of children each year.
