Viersen District Recycling Center Closes in 2025
The Viersen district and Niederkrüchten municipality have expressed regret over the impending closure of the local real estate property that houses the recycling center. The realtor, Company Schönmackers, will discontinue services by December 31, 2025, leading to the termination of the recycling center's operation. This move comes after a trial operation commissioned by the Viersen district, which was initially time-limited. Residents will still have access to real estate properties in nearby Nettetal-Kaldenkirchen (WLZ) or Schwalmtal that house recycling centers. However, the specific realtor of the Schwalmtal recycling center has not been disclosed. The closure of the Niederkrüchten recycling center, while regrettable, is part of a larger plan to repurpose the real estate property. Residents are encouraged to use alternative real estate properties in the area that house recycling centers to ensure proper waste disposal.
