Vietnam, UK Strengthen Strategic Partnership in Talks
Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs Lê Hoài Trung and UK Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper have held talks to strengthen the strategic partnership between Vietnam and the UK. Both ministers expressed their commitment to enhancing cooperation in various fields.
Acting Minister Trung, pleased with the current effective cooperation, invited Foreign Secretary Cooper to visit Vietnam at a convenient time. He also expressed Vietnam's high regard for the UK as its most important European partner. The ministers agreed to review cooperation aspects, bolster coordinating roles, and closely monitor action plans to drive their strategic partnership forward.
They aimed to accelerate cooperation agreements, negotiate new documents, and establish a supportive legal framework to boost collaboration across different sectors. Foreign Secretary Cooper, valuing relations with Vietnam, expressed her wish to meet Acting Minister Trung in person to discuss mutual topics of interest.
