Vietnam's election success driven by digital innovation and public trust
Chairman of the National Assembly Trần Thanh Mẫn has praised the smooth running of Vietnam's latest national election. He highlighted the role of technology in ensuring a fast, accurate, and secure process. According to him, strong public engagement and digital advancements marked this year's vote as a success.
Speaking on the election's progress, Chairman Mẫn stressed the importance of maintaining public consensus. He noted that citizens across the country actively took part, fulfilling their civic duties with enthusiasm. The event reflected widespread participation and trust in the electoral system.
He also called on agencies to keep following the Politburo's Directive No 46-CT/TW and Conclusion No 03-KL/TW. These guidelines focus on leadership and the successful execution of the election. Relevant units were urged to build on current achievements and closely monitor all systems until the process concludes. The use of information technology played a major part in this election. Digital platforms were deployed to handle data transmission efficiently, meeting three core standards: speed, accuracy, and security. The Military Industry and Telecoms Group (Viettel) contributed technical solutions, though specific details on their election-related systems remain undisclosed. Known for its work in 4G/5G networks and digital transformation, Viettel's involvement supported the election's infrastructure. Chairman Mẫn commended the coordination between election support teams, particularly the Security and Order Subcommittee. Their efforts ensured absolute safety throughout the voting period. Media coverage also played a key role, with journalists using various formats to spread election information widely and professionally.
The election's success demonstrates Vietnam's growing reliance on digital solutions for national processes. Technology ensured quick, secure, and accurate handling of data, while public involvement remained high. Authorities will continue overseeing the remaining steps to finalise the results.
