Vietnam's National Assembly Chairman Meets Indonesian, Singaporean Ambassadors to Strengthen Bilateral Ties
National Assembly Chairman Trần Thanh Mẫn recently received Indonesian Ambassador Denny Abdi and Singaporean Ambassador Jaya Ratnam. During the meeting, Mẫn highlighted the significance of Indonesia in Việt Nam's foreign policy and congratulated Ambassador Abdi on his successful term.
Mẫn praised Ambassador Abdi's contributions to strengthening Việt Nam-Indonesia relations and welcomed the signing of the 2025-2030 Action Programme, upgrading their bilateral relationship to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. Looking ahead, Mẫn expressed his hope that bilateral trade between Việt Nam and Indonesia will reach US$18 billion by 2028.
Mẫn also met with Ambassador Ratnam, commending his efforts in advancing the Việt Nam-Singapore relationship. Ratnam, in turn, expressed his pleasure at witnessing Việt Nam's remarkable progress and agreed with Mẫn's positive assessment of their bilateral ties. Both sides discussed the expansion of the VSIP model, aiming to make it greener and more digitalised, further contributing to Việt Nam's socio-economic development.
Chairman Mẫn's meetings with Ambassadors Abdi and Ratnam underscored the importance of Việt Nam's relations with Indonesia and Singapore. With the signing of the Action Programme and shared visions for future cooperation, both partnerships are set to grow stronger and more beneficial for all parties involved.
