Vietnam’s PM strengthens ties with Kuwait, Algeria, and South Africa in key diplomatic tour

Prime Minister Phạm Minh Chính, accompanied by his spouse Lê Thị Bích Tràn, has embarked on a diplomatic mission to Kuwait, Algeria, and South Africa. The trip, which began on November 16 from Nội Bài International Airport in Hà Nội, is part of Vietnam's ongoing foreign policy and aims to bolster ties with these nations in the southwest region.

The visit, scheduled from November 16 to 24, comes at the invitations of the Prime Ministers of Kuwait and Algeria, and the President of South Africa. It seeks to strengthen political trust and deepen friendship, while promoting multifaceted cooperation in areas such as trade and investment. Prime Minister Chính's participation in the G20 Summit, hosted by South Africa's President Matamela Cyril Ramaphosa, underscores Vietnam's commitment to cooperation with G20 members and international partners. The trip also aims to facilitate the signing of bilateral cooperation agreements in various fields of strength.

The trip, which continues until November 24, is expected to enhance Vietnam's relations with Kuwait, Algeria, and South Africa, particularly in the southwest region. It reflects Prime Minister Chính's dedication to implementing the foreign policy set at the 13th National Party Congress and related resolutions, and to fostering cooperation for mutual benefit.
