Vilnius Crowned Europe’s Top Hospitality City for 2025 by Prestigious Awards
Vilnius has been named the European Hospitality City 2025 by the European Hotel Awards. The honour was announced at a gala event on November 17, held at the city’s Grand Hotel. This year’s ceremony recognised winners from 15 countries, with four laureates coming from Vilnius itself.
The award is not given annually. Organisers highlighted the Lithuanian capital’s creativity, openness, and steady growth in the hospitality sector. Vilnius Mayor Valdas Benkunskas credited the city’s thriving ecosystem for its success in attracting international professionals and events.
The European Hotel Awards traditionally rotates its gala across different European locations. The November 2025 event will mark the first time Vilnius hosts the prestigious ceremony. Direct flights from multiple London airports make the city an accessible destination for industry leaders.
Alongside the main award, Vilnius also received an Honorary Award for its contributions to hospitality. The city’s recognition comes as it increasingly positions itself as a hub for international professionals. Four local representatives were among this year’s laureates, further cementing Vilnius’s reputation in the sector.
Mayor Benkunskas emphasised the importance of collaboration within the city’s hospitality network. He noted that the award reflects years of investment in infrastructure, training, and innovation. The European Hotel Awards committee praised Vilnius for its ability to blend tradition with modern hospitality trends.
The title of European Hospitality City 2025 puts Vilnius in the spotlight for the next two years. The award is expected to draw more industry events and professionals to the city. With its growing reputation and accessibility, Vilnius is set to play a larger role in shaping Europe’s hospitality landscape.
