Violent bar dispute leaves young man unconscious in Lichtenberg attack
A 21-year-old man was left unconscious after a violent assault in Lichtenberg early Tuesday morning. The attack happened near the corner of Frankfurter Allee and Gürtelstraße around 1:50 a.m., following a dispute at a nearby bar. Police have since launched an investigation into grievous bodily harm.
The incident began with a verbal argument inside a bar. Later, outside on the street, the victim was struck in the back of the head with a broken bottle. He collapsed immediately, unconscious.
The investigation into the attack continues under the specialised police unit. The victim remains in hospital after sustaining serious injuries. Police are likely reviewing evidence to identify those responsible for the assault.
