Violent clash at Dresden Central Station leads to drug discovery by federal police
Federal police intervened in a violent confrontation at Dresden Central Station on Saturday afternoon. Officers patrolling the area stopped an 18-year-old man who was aggressively grabbing a 17-year-old near Wiener Platz. The incident occurred at around 5:40 p.m. on March 7, 2026.
Witnesses reported seeing the 18-year-old Lebanese national forcefully pulling the 17-year-old Syrian victim by the collar. He held the younger teen firmly by the arm while shouting at him. The suspect only let go when federal police approached.
Both individuals were already known to authorities for previous violent offences. After detaining the suspect, officers conducted a search and found a small plastic bag containing six pre-packaged cannabis deals. A blister pack of pregabalin was also discovered in his possession. The case has since been transferred to Saxony State Police for further investigation due to jurisdictional protocols.
The intervention by federal police prevented the situation from escalating further. The suspect remains under investigation, while the victim's condition was not reported. Authorities will determine any additional charges based on the evidence collected.
