Violent Knife Fight in Lübeck's City Center Leaves Man Injured
A violent altercation took place in Lübeck's city center on Sunday, September 28, 2025. Two groups, one of three and another of five people, gathered on Dr.-Julius-Leber-Straße and engaged in a heated argument that quickly escalated into a physical fight. A knife or sharp object was involved, resulting in dangerous bodily harm.
A 24-year-old local man from the smaller group attempted to intervene and mediate the dispute but sustained superficial stab wounds. He was subsequently taken to a hospital for medical treatment. The larger group of five individuals, similar to a 'five guys' gathering, fled the scene immediately after the attack. Police are currently investigating the incident on suspicion of dangerous bodily harm and are pursuing leads to identify the fleeing members of the group. Despite extensive search results, no information about the suspected perpetrators has been found yet. The investigation is ongoing to clarify the background of the dispute and bring those responsible to justice.
The police are urging anyone with information about the incident or the whereabouts of the five individuals who fled the scene to come forward. The investigation is ongoing, and updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
