Violent Neukölln attack leaves 23-year-old with serious head injuries

A 23-year-old man was seriously injured in a violent attack in Neukölln late last night. The incident began as a meeting over financial demands but quickly turned into a brutal confrontation involving multiple assailants. Police have since detained two suspects in connection with the case.

The victim had arranged to meet a 24-year-old man to discuss money that had been demanded. When the 23-year-old arrived without the requested sum, he was allegedly set upon by a group of at least ten people. The attackers reportedly used various tools and objects as weapons, leaving the victim with head injuries.

Police responded quickly and detained two suspects near Neuköllnische Allee. One, aged 24, had visible bloodstains on his hands, while the other was 27 years old. Officers also seized several items from the scene that may have been used in the assault. The victim was rushed to hospital for treatment. The Criminal Investigation Division of Directorate 5 has taken over the case. Authorities are continuing to gather evidence and question witnesses as part of the ongoing probe.

The two detained men remain in custody as the investigation progresses. The victim's condition is being monitored, though no further updates on his health have been released. Police have not yet confirmed whether additional arrests will follow.
