Violent robbery in Berlin’s Buckow leaves man injured after briefcase attack

A 34-year-old man was attacked in Berlin’s Buckow neighbourhood on Wednesday evening. Two unknown assailants tried to steal his briefcase around 8 p.m. on In den Gärten street. The victim suffered injuries during the confrontation and required treatment at the nearest general hospital. The incident began when the two attackers targeted the man’s briefcase. As he resisted, one of the assailants struck him in the face with an object. His wife stepped in to help, prompting the attackers to spray an irritant at the victim before fleeing the scene. The man was taken to the hospital near him for outpatient care, where he received treatment for head and hand injuries. Police later confirmed that the robbery unit of Police Directorate 4 (South) is now handling the investigation. The case remains under active investigation by the robbery unit. Authorities have not yet released further details about the suspects or the ongoing inquiry. The victim’s injuries were treated, and he was discharged after medical attention.
