Viral Bihar election protest video exposed as fake by fact-checkers

A viral video claiming to show anti-Modi protestors burning a BJP office after the 2025 Bihar election has been debunked. The footage was shared widely online but contains misleading information about its origins and timing. The video in question combines two separate clips, neither of which relates to the Bihar election. The top section shows protests in Pithoragarh, Uttarakhand, from September 2025. These demonstrations had no connection to Bihar or the election results. Fact-checkers confirmed that all clips in the video predate the November 2025 Bihar election. The NDA’s landslide victory further contradicts the claim of widespread anti-Modi protests. The misleading footage continues to spread despite clear evidence of its inaccuracies.
